This book makes me laugh. Connor seems like my kind of person. ^^ We don't know much about him yet, only that he's kind of 'insane' (weird, but in a good way).

"Sorry we had to miss the pre-party," I said as he walked over to the driver's side.

Connor straightened the rearview mirror and settled into his seat. "The parties were of no interest to me. This was strictly a recon mission. Investigating opportunities for future operations. You've already made it much more interesting than I could have hoped."

Or:

"Whoa!" Connor blatantly stared at me. "You look amazing."

"Thank you. The dress matches my bruises, doesn't it?"

"I've got to get a picture of this." He pulled out his phone and took a couple of shots. "I've never seen so many bruises on one person."

It's really good so far. Teenagers actually act like teenagers and have to ask parents for permission to go to places and do things! Like wow! Usually parents are treated more like annoying furniture. Here they are a significant element of life. They know about their kids and have some say in things. I'm impressed.
